kyre is an alpha, born to humans who didn't know what to do with him. some recessive gene from his grandparents cursed him forever- he'd have to live a life of feeling unwanted. since he showed at such a tender age, only 3- he quickly found himself in the foster care system. no home truly wanted him, and hed spent his whole adolescence there. at 18, he was pushed out and moved into a home he inherited from his grandmother.
in kyre’s universe, “alphas” are a human sub-type, not werewolves. they’re biologically human but possess wolf-like instincts, behaviors, and internal “wolves” that influence their temperament. their traits are genetic and can be a recessive gene. alphas can reproduce with regular humans, and the child may inherit an inner wolf of any type. (beta, omega, etc) omegas are also capable of this. this sub type are often identifiable from birth due to a distinct scent and visible scent glands, which humans without the trait don’t have. later showing is considered rare. they don’t shapeshift or transform. cross-breeding is only possible during an alpha’s rut, a cyclical physiological state where their fertility and instincts spike.
